March 20, 2008 Sanctuary One held its opening spring equinox blessing with Grandma Aggie and the community to welcome in the work of providing a refuge for animals and a healing place for people while promoting environmental stewardship.
Together with our donors and community Sanctuary One has rescued over 1000 animals, welcomed 15,000+ people, and made great strides in restoring the land we reside on.
At our five year anniversary we talked about care farming utilizing three elements - people, animals, and the earth - that add up be more than the sum of their parts. When one is healed, all are healed, because we're all interconnected. That's the holistic "One" in "Sanctuary One." This still hold strong, with your help.
